Great too have a variety to choose from.some good some not so good but all in all a great tasteing coffee
instead.Sumatra a 4, Good tasteFrench Roast a 5, the best of the 5 typesMorning Blend a 1, weak and really bad. It had 5 types of coffee. I like a bold coffee so I would rate them as:Columbia a 3, OK but a little weakColumbia Decaf a 3 also, I would recommend Green Mountain Dark Magic Decaf. Apparently they don't include it in this variety pack any more. Good move on Diedrich's part.
I haven't gotten through both boxes yet, but I've found at least one cup punctured, leaking coffee. I don't know if this is par for the course, but when I got my K-Cups, both boxes were leaking coffee. What a mess. That's just not cool. I expected more from Amazon.
I will not get this box again, because our only favorite is the morning edition (and we're also already buying the sumatra as a solo box) and I don't want to have to drink the others. One box has the sumatra (which we have already been buying and like), the columbia (which is a lot like the sumatra), the french roast (which is not as bold and flavorful as expected) and the morning edition (which is a nice bolder step up from the sumatra or columbia). I'd like to only buy 1 box of this variety pack, instead of having to drink through so many of the same blends. This item should be 1 box with 3 or 4 of the k-cups of 6 or 5 varities, so you can try one or two, share the others, and not be stuck with so many similar unimpressive blends. I'll look for and try other variety packs, but not one that is a "pack of 2" item.
I saw this sampler and thought I would give it try since it included some French Roast as well. I will start by saying that I prefer Starbucks bold coffees. I really like the Sumatra and would compare it to a Starbucks Verona. I have sampled just about every K-cup out there, but I like Diedrich cups the best. I started with their French Roast, which I highly recommend. The Columbian is fruity and lighter than a Starbucks Columbian, but good. I didn't dislike the Morning Edition, but I wouldn't buy it separately.
